reading from a sixteenth-century poem.
I think she speaks instructions for the Devil,

My brother read a book about the Devil,
And he fell into an accidental sleep.
We couldn't wake him up in time for heaven;
We heard his body crashing through the deep.

And it withers out your brain.

Makes you vigilant through pain--
It's the Devil.

I dreamed that I was sawing up the Devil.
I dumped his broken body in the sea.
But I saw myself reflected in the Devil,
